Leroy Abrahams is Executive Vice President and Head of Community Affairs for Regions Bank, one of America’s largest full-service providers of consumer and commercial banking, wealth management, and mortgage products and services.
Under Abrahams’ leadership, the Birmingham, Alabama-based bank has enhanced its community engagement strategy to focus on creating more inclusive prosperity. Key pillars of this strategy includes advancing economic and community development, supporting education and workforce readiness and increasing financial wellness.
Abrahams led the establishment of the Regions Community Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Regions Bank that supports underserved areas facing limited access to capital. The RCDC provides debt and equity financing for projects and entities with a clear community development purpose.
In addition, Abrahams is President of the Regions Foundation, a nonprofit funded primarily by Regions Bank.
Prior to assuming his current role, Abrahams served as Regions’ North Central Alabama Area President. He joined Regions in 2013 as head of Strategic and Corporate Planning following leadership roles with SunTrust and AmSouth.
Abrahams holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas Christian University.
