Len Elmore is Senior Lecturer in Discipline in Sports Management in the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University Elmore has a wide range of remarkable experiences including being a former NBA player, attorney, television basketball analyst, sportscaster, basketball player agent and executive.
Elmore was the CEO of iHoops, the official youth basketball initiative of the NCAA and NBA. Previously, Elmore was a Partner with the law firm of Dreier LLP. Prior to Dreier LLP, Elmore was Senior Counsel with LeBoeuf, Lamb, et. al.
After twelve years of public service, Elmore rotated off as a Commissioner on the John and James L. Knight Foundation’s Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics but was re-appointed in March 2020 and is Chair of the Commission’s Racial Equity Task Force.
Elmore holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
