Law Burks is Vice President and General Manager of the Commercial Construction NA Division at Illinois Tool Works. In this role, he has full P&L responsibility for accelerating the growth of engineered fasteners for concrete and steel construction.
Burks’ work experience includes five years of service as an officer in the US Air Force with increasing responsibility for manufacturing and business-to-business strategy, sales & marketing positions at Avon Products, Alcan Packaging and Cardinal Health.
Burks joined Illinois Tool Works in 2011, where he served as Vice President and General Manager for the Medical Products Division. He led a global team with full P&L responsibility for developing and executing an accelerated growth strategy, including a successful acquisition and strong organic growth.
Burks serves on the Rosalind Franklin University Medical School Board of Trustees and the Barrington Youth Football Board of Directors.
Burks holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Purdue University and an Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University. He also completed executive education at Harvard Business School and holds the CPIM designation from the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
