Lauren Moore advises clients as they navigate legal and reputational risks arising from sensitive internal matters, government inquiries and media scrutiny. She has particular expertise with civil rights reviews, congressional investigations and other government-facing investigations.

Lauren served in the White House Counsel’s Office under President Biden, where she advised on civil rights policy and helped craft the President’s equity agenda. She also provided strategic advice to the US Department of Justice on civil rights and Equal Protection Clause issues, including reverse discrimination lawsuits. Before serving in the White House, Lauren was general counsel to Kamala Harris on the US Senate Judiciary Committee, where she advised on judicial and executive nominations, civil rights policy, and oversight of the DOJ, among other matters.

Bloomberg Law recognized Lauren in its 2023 “They’ve Got Next: 40 Under 40” annual listing. Lauren has also been recognized as a 2023 Rising Star by the National Law Journal, and by Diversity Journal for its annual Black Leadership Award.

Lauren earned her J.D. at Harvard School of Law and her B.A. at the University of Southern California, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
