La-Toya P. Hackney is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Saint-Gobain North America, a leading manufacturer of sustainable building products and industrial materials with more than 120 locations in the United States and Canada.
Hackney leads the company’s North American law department and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Saint-Gobain North America.
Prior to joining Saint-Gobain North America in 2020, Hackney served as Vice President and Global Chief Compliance Officer of TE Connectivity and Chief Counsel of the Retail Fuels business at Sunoco, Inc. She held ERG leadership roles at each company, serving as Chairperson of TE’s African Heritage Resource Group and a steering committee member of the Women’s Network at Sunoco.
Hackney serves on the boards of the Philadelphia Education Fund and WHYY, the PBS and NPR public media affiliate for the greater Philadelphia area. In 2021, she was recognized at the Pennsylvania Legal Awards for General Counsel Impact.
Hackney received her law degree from Harvard Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and African-American Studies with honors from Stanford University, where she was a Mellon Foundation Fellow and Rhodes Scholar nominee.
