Kwamina Thomas Williford is Partner for Holland & Knight LLP.
Williford helps companies navigate complex regulations and enforcement regimes.
As co-chair of Holland & Knight’s Consumer Protection Defense and Compliance Team, she counsels banks and other financial institutions on enterprise-wide state and federal regulatory compliance. She represents companies faced with Civil Investigative Demands and inquiries brought by the FTC, CFPB and DOJ, as well as state attorneys general, related to alleged violations of consumer protection laws.
Williford also is often called on to conduct highly sensitive internal investigations that involve senior management and C-suite executives.
Williford is the practice group leader for the firm’s Washington, D.C., Litigation Group and chairs the Steering Committee for the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Engagement Initiative, which is designed to deepen partnerships with clients and businesses that share Holland & Knight’s core values of diversity and inclusion.
Williford serves on the Executive Committee of the National Bar Association’s (NBA) Commercial Law Section.
Williford is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Cornell Law School.
