Kwame Manley is Global Chair of the Investigations and White Collar Defense practice at Paul Hastings in Washington, DC. A former federal prosecutor, Mr. Manley focuses his practice on white-collar criminal defense, internal corporate investigations, and complex civil litigation. He represents corporations in high profile anti-bribery and export controls matters. Reflecting his expertise in the FCPA space, DOJ recently appointed Manley as an Independent Compliance Monitor. Manley has also represented high profile individuals in Congressional investigations, including Ambassador Sondland in the Impeachment of former President Donald Trump.
Manley has received high praise from independent third parties. Chambers USA recently noted that Manley “has excellent judgment, and a lot of credibility within the DC legal community.” He is currently ranked in Legal 500, 2021 Acritas Stars, and Washingtonian Magazine, which noted Manley as among the Best Lawyers in DC. He earned the 2021 Rainmaker Award from Minority Corporate Counsel Association.
Manley earned his J.D. at Harvard Law School, where he was Notes Editor of the Harvard Law Review, and he also received a MPA degree from the Harvard Kennedy School. He earned his B.A. from Morehouse College.
