Kurt C. Small is Senior Vice President and President, East Region, for Anthem’s Commercial & Specialty Business Division, which serves 31.3 million members across the U.S.
In this role, Small is focused on ensuring access to quality health care by providing the strategic direction for Anthem’s commercial plans in the company’s East Region.
Small previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Anthem’s Government Business Division.
Small has more than 20 years of healthcare experience and prior to joining Anthem in 2019, held senior leadership roles at Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield Minnesota.
Small earned his Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management, his Bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and is a member of the Executive Leadership Council.
