Kevin Walker, President and CEO of Duquesne Light Holdings Inc. (DLH), is playing a leading role in the Pittsburgh region’s clean energy transition.
With more than 30 years of utility experience in various roles at multiple utilities across the country, Walker is strategically positioning DLH, which includes Duquesne Light Company (DLC), DQE Communications and The Efficiency Network, to serve as a trusted partner for all.
Prior to joining DLC as Chief Operating Officer, Walker served as Senior Vice President of Customer and Operations Services and Nuclear Decommissioning at Southern California Edison. In that role, he oversaw customer experience for more than five million accounts; services provided to the corporation through the Operational Services group; and the on-site transfer of spent nuclear fuel from wet to dry storage.
As DLH’s first person of color to become President and CEO, Walker is also a proud veteran of the
U.S. Army, having served six years as a fi eld artillery officer with a deployment to the Middle East during Operation Desert Storm.
Walker holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
