Kermitt J. Brooks is Chief Legal Officer of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), leading legal, compliance, corporate governance, and government affairs. He has extensive experience in the private and public sectors of the insurance industry. Kermitt’s expertise and legal acumen allow him to play a pivotal role in shaping the regulatory landscape of the insurance industry.
A Michigan native, Kermitt received his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University. In addition to serving as Guardian’s Chief Legal Officer in New York City, Kermitt also lends his expertise to several industry organizations and non-profits.
