Julia L. Johnson heads a national regulatory and public affairs firm that focuses primarily on energy telecommunications and broadcast regulation. Johnson has held this position since 2000.
Johnson has more than 20 years of regulatory experience.
She served as the Chair of the Florida Public Service Commission and Chair of the Federal State Joint Board on Universal Service.
Johnson also participates in a number of professional, civic, educational, and other nonprofit organizations, including as the Chairperson of Multicultural Media Telecom and Internet Council and a Trustee for the National Urban League.
Johnson served as Chair of Florida’s Information Service Technology Development Task Force, which advised Florida’s Governor and Legislature on information technology policy and related legislative issues, from November 1999 to July 2001.
Johnson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida College of Law.
