Jewell D. Hoover was Principal of Hoover and Associates, LLC, a bank consulting company that specialized in director training, charter applications, policy development, strategic planning, and management studies.
Previously, Hoover worked for 28 years as a bank regulator and was a senior spokesperson for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. She was Deputy Comptroller for the agency’s Western District with regulatory oversight for national banks and credit card companies from Missouri to California.
Hoover has gained valuable banking experience and knowledge as a bank consultant for corporate governance, director training, and problem bank resolution matters. She is a former Member of the North Carolina Banking Commission (Gubernatorial appointment) and Co-Author of The Ultimate Guide for Bank Directors.
Hoover holds an undergraduate degree from West Virginia State University and a graduate degree from West Virginia University.
