Jason L. Brown is the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for GE Appliances, a Haier Company. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of household appliances. Brown serves as the principal legal officer with overall responsibility for the vision and leadership of global legal strategy and services, as well as the management of enterprise risk.
Prior to joining GEA, Brown was the Vice President and General Counsel of Dyson, Inc., based in Chicago, IL. Before Dyson, Brown held various senior-level positions within the legal teams at MillerCoors, LLC and Pepsi Beverages Company. In addition, he served as the first executive director and general counsel for the National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms. Brown began his career as a litigator in private practice in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN.
Brown serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Legal Prep Charter Academy and also sits on the global Board of Directors for the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Foundation Board for Jeff erson Community and Technical College.
Brown received both his undergraduate and law degrees from Howard University in Washington D.C.
