Jarryd E. Anderson is a Partner and Co-Chair of Financial Services Group for Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
Jarryd advises major banking organizations, nonbank financial institutions, asset managers and fintech companies on M&A, corporate governance, and regulatory, supervisory and enforcement matters.
A bank regulatory expert, Jarryd was lead advisor to several large banks and nonbank financial institutions during the 2023 banking stress. Jarryd also counsels minority-owned depository institutions.
Jarryd began his career at the Federal Reserve prior to the 2008 Financial Crisis, later helping to implement aspects of the Dodd-Frank Act. He then spent several years in- house at The Clearing House, TD Bank and Wells Fargo before going into private practice and later joining Paul, Weiss.
Jarryd co-chairs the ABA Banking Law Committee’s M&A and Strategic Initiatives subcommittee and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center and has guest lectured at Columbia Law School.
Jarryd earned his B.A. from La Salle University, his J.D. from Rutgers Law School, his LL.M., with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center and his MBA from Columbia Business School.
