Irvin Bishop, Jr. is currently serving as Executive Vice President, Global Chief Information Officer of Black & Veatch, an engineering and construction company. Effective as an entrepreneur in both start-up and fortune 50 corporations, he is equally comfortable with technology and data as well as marketing strategy and consumer insights.
Bishop believes that the separation of marketing and technology is a thing of the past and that the most effective leaders must be bilingual across both.
Bishop is dedicated to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion inside and outside of the firm and strives to “walk the talk” by the shadow he cast.
Bishop has participated in over 8 Habitat of Humanity home builds, Youth Motivational Task Force speaker, and National Board member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Bishop is a member of professional organizations including Forbes Technology Council, Information Technology Senior Management Forum, and Kansas City CIO Advisory Board (InspireCIO).
Bishop holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Alabama A&M University, Master’s Certification in Project Management from George Washington University, M.S. degree in Marketing and Master’s Certification in Brand and Consumer Management from Georgia State University.
