Herbert R. Brown was Senior Vice President, PR & Corporate Communications of Western & Southern Financial Group. Brown began his career in 1963 at Western & Southern and rose through the ranks to Senior Vice President in 2001.
Brown’s volunteer activities include serving as President on the Cincinnati Board of Education and President of the Ohio and National Caucus of Black School Board Members. Brown has received many honors including the Greater Cincinnati United Way’s African-American Leadership Initiative being named “The Herbert R. Brown Society”.
Brown is also on the Board of the Boy Scouts of America, and received the Scouts highest honor, the “Silver Beaver Award.” Additionally, Brown is a Board member of Families FORWARD and serves as President of the Community Police Partnering Center.
Brown received an Honorary Doctorate of Technical Letters from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.
