Gilbert T. Ray retired as a Partner of the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers LLP in 2000. In this role, Ray practiced corporate law and has extensive experience with conventional corporate and tax exempt transactions, as well as international finance. He served as counsel in connection with numerous securities offerings, acquisitions, dispositions and mergers.
Ray is also a Trustee of the Seasons Series Trust, the SunAmerica SeriesTrust and The John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation.
Ray served as Chairman of the Board of Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau from 1994 to 1995. Ray is the recipient of numerous awards including the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce’s Fred Snowden Humanitarian Award and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund’s Civil Rights Advocate of the Year Award.
Ray has a J.D. from Howard University School of Law, an MBA from Toledo University and a B.A. from Ashland University.
