Gerald B. Smith is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Smith, Graham & Co. Investment Advisors, L.P.
In this role, Smith leads an independent employee-owned investment advisory firm that specializes in providing fixed income and equity portfolio strategies to institutional clients.
Prior to launching Smith Graham in 1990, Smith served as Senior Vice President and Director of Fixed Income for Underwood Neuhaus & Company.
Smith is a Founding Member of the New York Futures Exchange, where he worked with institutional investors to hedge their interest rate risk by using financial futures.
Smith serves as Chair of the Texas Southern University Foundation and on the Board of Directors of the Greater Houston Partnership. Additionally, Smith serves on the Board of Directors of the First Tee of Greater Houston and the Executive Committee of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP).
Smith holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Texas Southern University.
