Fred Lowery is Senior Vice President and President of the Life Sciences and Laboratory Products groups at Thermo Fisher Scientific.Thermo Fisher Scientific is the world leader in serving science, helping its customers make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. Thermo Fisher Scientific is a $20 billion company with 68,000 employees globally.

 

In this role, Lowery leads the Life Science and Laboratory Products businesses. These businesses provide an extensive portfolio of reagents, instruments, equipment, consumables and chemicals used in biological and medical research, discovery and production of new drugs and vaccines as well as diagnosis of disease.

 

Lowery joined Fisher Scientific International in 2005, prior to its merger with Thermo Electron Corporation. At Fisher Scientific, he was promoted to President of Laboratory Consumables in 2011 and Senior Vice President and President of Laboratory Products in 2014.

 

Lowery serves as a mentor at the Boston Renaissance Charter Public School, and he is a member of the Tennessee Tech University Engineering Board of Advisors.

 

Lowery received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Science in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University.
