Fred M. Lowery is Senior Vice President and President for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Life Sciences Solutions and Laboratory Products business, the company’s largest operating segment serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, agricultural, clinical, academic, and government markets.

Fred joined Thermo Fisher in 2005, leading operations for the Molecular BioProducts business before serving in Vice President/General Manager roles. In 2011, he was promoted to President of Laboratory Consumables and in 2014, to Senior Vice President and President of Laboratory Products. Prior to Thermo Fisher, Fred held leadership roles at Maytag Corporation, General Motors and Delphi Automotive Systems.

Fred is a member of the DuPont Board of Directors. In addition, he has a passion for community service and is devoted to mentoring youth. He has endowed two scholarships at his alma mater, Tennessee Technological University, and is a mentor at the Boston Renaissance Charter Public Schools as well as a member of its Board. Fred also serves on the Board of Trustees for both Tennessee Tech and its Foundation.

Fred received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Tech and a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University.
