Felicia F. Norwood is Executive Vice President & President, Government Health Benefits for Elevance Health, a lifetime, trusted health partner fueled by its purpose to improve the health of humanity.
In this role, Norwood is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the company’s Medicaid and Medicare businesses. She is co-executive sponsor of culture for the enterprise and passionate about the organization’s purpose to improve the health of humanity by advancing health equity and whole health.
Norwood has more than 30 years of healthcare industry expertise in both the public and private sectors.
Before joining Elevance Health, Ms. Norwood served as Director of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services and, prior to that, spent 19 years in various leadership positions at Aetna, Inc., including president, Mid-America region.
Norwood currently serves on the board of directors of Wells Fargo & Company and previously served on the board of directors of Hill-Rom Holdings.
She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Yale Law School Association.
Norwood is a graduate of Valdosta State University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Yale Law School.
