Ernest W. Marshall, Jr. is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Eaton, a power management company with 2018 sales of $21.6 billion. Eaton has approximately 100,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 175 countries.
Ernest leads Eaton’s effort to create a culture that attracts and inspires great talent and provides an exceptional place for employees to work and grow. In his role, he is responsible for the company’s global Human Resources function, which includes leadership and organizational development, compensation and benefits, inclusion and diversity, and talent acquisition.
Ernest has more than 22 years of global HR experience, previously holding executive HR leadership roles with General Electric.
Prior to Eaton, Ernest served as the Vice President, Human Resources Leader for GE Aviation, with global HR responsibility for more than 45,000 employees.
Ernest currently serves on the boards of trustees for Republic Bank and Trust and Bellarmine University and serves on the board for the Kindway Organization.
Ernest holds a law degree from Indiana University – Bloomington School of Law, an MBA from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and business administration from Bellarmine University.
