Eric J. Cunningham is Vice President, Cadillac North America Sales, Service and Marketing for GM. In his current role, Cunningham is responsible for leading Cadillac’s dealers and sales team to an all-electric future.
Cunningham began his GM career in 1984 as a GM co-op student with Buick Motor Division in Flint, Michigan. Over the years, Cunningham has held a wide range of positions, both in sales and after sales, served in GM’s corporate world headquarters and in GM’s field organization. His experience led him to positions in brand management, advertising, sales, service, marketing and parts.
In 2009, he was named regional director for Buick-GMC in GM’s South-Central Region office in Dallas, Texas. In 2013 he assumed the position of regional director for Chevrolet in the U.S. market’s largest region based in Chicago.
In 2015, he was promoted to the position of North American Executive Director Sales and Marketing. In 2020 Cunningham was named to the position of Vice President Electric Vehicle Center of Expertise where he worked to shape the corporate strategy for GM’s electric vehicle portfolio.
Cunningham received his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Automotive Business Management from Southern Illinois University.
