Earl Newsome, Jr. is Chief Information Officer of Cummins Inc., a global power leader that designs, manufactures, sells, and services diesel and alternative fuel engines.
Previously, Newsome served as Chief Information Officer, Americas IT for Linde PLC, a global industrial gases and engineering firm formed by the merger of Linde and Praxair, Inc.
Prior to the merger, Newsome served as Global Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Praxair. Prior to Praxair, he was Corporate Chief Information Officer and Vice President, Digital at TE Connectivity, a producer of highly engineered connectivity and sensing products.
Earlier in his career, Newsome served as VP and Chief Information Officer of Owens-Illinois and was Partner at Deloitte & Touche.
Newsome was Captain in the U.S. Army. Newsome received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
