Doyle N. Beneby Jr. serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Midland Cogeneration Venture (MCV), the largest natural gas-fired combined electrical energy and steam energy generating facility in the United States of America.
Prior to coming to MCV, he most recently served as CEO of New Generation Power International (NGPI), an international independent renewable energy company. Beneby added his renewable energy and utility expertise to NGPI’s wide spectrum of natural resources-related projects, including solar, wind, geothermal heat, biomass and hydro.
Beneby also served as CEO and President of CPS Energy in San Antonio, Texas, which is one of the largest municipally-owned electric and gas utility companies in the US. At CPS Energy, Beneby, focused particularly on renewable and cleaner energy sources.
Previously, Beneby held leadership roles at Florida Power & Light Co., Consumers Energy Co., PECO Energy, ComEd and Exelon Power, where he served as president.
