Dontá Wilson is the Chief Consumer and Small Business Banking Officer and a member of the Truist Operating Council.
In this role, Wilson leads 22,000 teammates who serve retail, premier, and small business clients, as well as oversees core deposit and loan products, consumer capital markets, national consumer lending businesses, enterprise marketing, client analytics and experience strategy, and digital banking.
Wilson has held various leadership roles during his more than 25-year career with Truist, including chief retail and small business banking officer and chief digital and client experience officer.
Wilson serves on the Signet Jewelers Board of Directors (NYSE: SIG). He was named one of Savoy’s Top Black Executives in 2022 and was chosen Digital Banker of the Year by American Banker in 2021. Wilson is a member of World 50/Executive 50, Executive Leadership Council, Sigma Pi Phi (Boulé), and Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc.
Wilson earned his Bachelor’s degree in management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an MBA from the University of Maryland. He is a graduate of the Tuck Executive Program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and the Truist Banking School at Wake Forest University.
