Dontá L. Wilson is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Client Experience Officer at BB&T Corporation and serves as a member of BB&T’s Executive Management Team. In this role, he leads the Enterprise Marketing, Sales and Client Experience Group. He is also responsible for leading Website Strategy, Digital Sales, Virtual Banking and the Client Care Call Centers.
Prior to this role, Wilson has held several leadership positions within BB&T, including Group/State President of the BB&T’s Atlanta-based Northern Georgia Region; Alabama Group/State President; Regional President for the Battlefield Northern Virginia Region and Area Executive for Prince William County, Virginia.
Wilson is the Founder and a Board Member of I Am My Brother’s Keeper inner city mentor program. He is also a member of World 50/Marketing 50 and the Young Presidents’ Organization.
Wilson previously served as a Board Member for the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s Atlanta Metro Chamber, 100 Black Men in Atlanta and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.
Wilson earned a Bachelor’s in Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
