Donnie King is an experienced trial lawyer with a national practice focused on representing clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
Donnie represents clients in a variety of industries including aviation, automotive, banking, consumer goods, entertainment, insurance, and utilities. His experience includes high stakes business disputes, class actions, business torts, securities litigation, private equity litigation, products liability litigation, civil theft matters, and catastrophic personal injury suits. He routinely tries cases in federal and state courts throughout the United States.
In addition, Donnie is a champion for justice and equality. He is a Council Member of the Akerman Racial Justice Initiative (ARJI). ARJI aims to eliminate structural prejudice in the justice system through philanthropic partnerships and pro bono services focused on serving communities of color. At Akerman, he served as past chair of Akerman’s Black Internal Network Group (BIN).
Donnie was also a 2021 fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, an organization of chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have pledged themselves to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession.
Donnie received his J.D. from Temple University School of Law and his B.A. from Boston College.
