Dennis Hopkins is a Partner at Perkins Coie. Hopkins’ practice is distinguished by his depth of experience and his thorough understanding of clients’ businesses. Dennis represents clients in all aspects of IP law, with an emphasis on patent, copyright, and trade secret litigation. He also guides clients on brand and domain name protection matters and focuses on commercial litigation.
Hopkins handles all phases of litigation, mediation and arbitration, trials, and appeals. He counsels clients on issues relating to litigation strategies and IP acquisition and management.
Outside of litigation, Dennis drafts and negotiates IP agreements and licenses and prepares written opinions of counsel. He provides strategic counseling in all areas of IP counseling to clients.
Hopkins is deeply committed to the New York community. His many leadership roles have included the New York City Bar Fund Board, the Board of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, the Advisory Committee of the Asian American Bar Association of New York, the Board of the Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, the Board of Practicing Attorneys for Law Students (PALS), the American Bar Association and other organizations devoted to the legal industry.
