David J. Grain is Founder & Managing Partner of Grain Management, LLC, a private equity firm with offices in Sarasota, FL and Washington D.C. In this role, Grain leads a firm that manages funds for an impressive list of the country’s leading academic institutions, endowments and public pension funds. Additionally, Grain’s company builds, owns and operates wireless infrastructure assets throughout the United States. Prior to founding Grain Management, LLC, Grain was President of Global Signal, Inc. and led the company out of bankruptcy to its operational turnaround and acquisition.
Grain was appointed to the National Infrastructure Advisory Council by President Obama and serves on the Board of Trustees of College of the Holy Cross. Grain founded the Grain Scholars Program at Booker High School in Sarasota, FL.
Grain holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and an MBA degree from Dartmouth College.
