Dan Reed is Vice President of Global Sports and Media Partnerships at Facebook.

In this role, Reed leads Facebook’s relationships with a diverse cross-section of the media business, including the global sports industry, the world’s largest media conglomerates, and thousands of emerging media publishers and creators.

Reed’s teams are focused on helping organizations grow their businesses via Facebook’s entire family of apps and services, while guiding and supporting the company’s strategic initiatives. His teams’ responsibilities include content acquisition and operations, media product and business model development, strategic advisory consulting, consumer experience enhancement, and more.

Reed joined Facebook after ten years at the National Basketball Association, where he primarily served as President of the NBA Development League. There he led the turnaround of the NBA’s minor league into a financially valuable property and a thriving talent development system.

Prior to that, Reed worked as a management consultant both within the NBA’s TMBO division and at A.T. Kearney. Sports Business Journal has named him one of the “50 Most Influential People in Sports Business” and a “Forty Under 40” recipient.

Reed holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Northwestern University.
