Dan Reed serves as Chief Operating Officer, Reality Labs for Meta.
In this role, Reed leads product and business operations for the company’s metaverse, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) efforts. Responsibilities include product marketing, sales, analytics, privacy, strategy & operations, consumer marketing, partnerships and communications.
Prior to his current role, Reed served as Head of Global Sports Partnerships for Meta, where his mission is to connect the world’s largest community of sports fans- more than 650 million on Facebook and Instagram- with their sports passions.
Reed joined Meta after a 10-year career at the National Basketball Association where, as President of the NBA Development League, he led a turnaround of the NBA’s minor league into a financially valuable property and a thriving talent development system for the NBA.
Reed holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA degree from Northwestern University.
