Damian Wilmot is the Senior Vice President, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated. In this role, Wilmot is responsible for leading the company’s Global Compliance (the Office of Business Integrity & Ethics), Global Litigation and Enterprise Risk Management organizations.
Wilmot previously was an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Massachusetts and worked as a judicial law clerk on the State of Connecticut Supreme Court.
Wilmot has served on the boards and advisory committees of numerous nonprofit, civic, and for-profit organizations, including the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission (by gubernatorial appointment), the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of Boston. He has also been honored as one of Boston’s most influential people of color in healthcare and life sciences.
Wilmot is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and Suffolk University Law School.
