Cynthia N. Day is President and Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Bancshares Corporation and Citizens Trust Bank.
Day has held the position since February 2012. Previously, Day was Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Vice President of Citizens Trust Bank from February 2003 to January 2012. and was its acting President and Chief Executive Officer from January 2012 to February 2012.
Previously, Day was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and in other capacities at Citizens Federal Savings Bank from 1993 until its acquisition by Citizens Trust Bank in 2003.
Before joining Citizens Trust Bank, Day was an Audit Manager for KPMG. She began her career with KMPG as a college graduate.
Atlanta Magazine named Day one of “Atlanta’s 500 Most Powerful Leaders” in 2021.
A CPA, Day holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Alabama.
