Cynthia N. Day is President & Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Trust Bank. In this role, Day provides the vision and strategic direction for the company. Day joined in February 2003, as an Executive Vice President through an acquisition of the historic Citizens Federal Savings Bank of Birmingham, where she served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Two years after the acquisition, Day became the Senior Executive Vice President & COO, making Day the first woman to hold this position in the history of both institutions. During Day’s tenure, the bank has reached many milestones including achieving record level earnings and her leadership navigated the bank through the worst economic cycle since the “Great Depression”.
Day was recognized in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s as one of the “Top 100 Leaders in Finance” and was named by the Atlanta Business League as the 2014 “CEO of the Year.”
Day holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.
