Corwin N. Harper, a native of South Carolina, is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Ochsner Health, Northshore (LA) and Mississippi Gulf Coast Region.
Before arriving at Ochsner in late 2021, Corwin was with Kaiser Permanente in Northern California where he gained positions of increasing responsibility in healthcare and within the Kaiser system for over 25 years including physician practice management, hospital operations, health plan management, and equity and inclusion.
Harper was CEO of three different markets in Kaiser Permanente for over 17 years and served as CEO of their Central Valley Area for his last four years with them.
Harper’s leadership and business philosophy are grounded by an analytical and deductive approach to improving patient care and driving value-based efficiency across the healthcare continuum.
Harper earned an undergraduate degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, as well as a Masters of Healthcare Administration degree from Baylor University. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Commissioned Medical Services Officer in the United States Army Medical Command.
