Colin J. Parris serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at GE Digital. He joined the General Electric Company in 2014 as the Vice President, GE Software Research.
Prior to joining GE, he spent two decades at IBM in a variety of executive roles, serving most recently as Vice President, Systems Research in the IBM T.J. Watson Research Division from 2013 to 2014 and General Manager for IBM’s Power Systems business from 2010 to 2013.
Parris has an extensive technology background with significant experience in software and leading digital transformations. Parris received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Howard University, Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Management from Stanford University.
