Colette D. Honorable is a Partner at Reed Smith LLP. She leads the energy regulatory group, is a member of the fi rm’s executive committee and the ESG group.
Honorable is an internationally renowned leader in the energy sector. She is a trusted advisor and counselor to several Fortune 500 energy companies, investor-owned utilities, renewable energy, technology and transportation companies. In this capacity, she provides strategic advice and counsel in areas including clean energy integration, cybersecurity, the development and execution of inclusion strategies, ESG and environmental justice issues, performance-based regulation, and ratemaking.
Honorable recently served as Commissioner at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). She was nominated by President Barack Obama in August 2014, serving from January 2015 until her term expired in June 2017.
Honorable joined the FERC from the Arkansas Public Service Commission, where she served as Chairman and Commissioner from 2007 to 2015. She previously served as President of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners.
Honorable is a graduate of the University of Memphis and received a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law.
