Clarence Wilbon is a Partner and Chair of the DEI Committee at Adams and Reese, a multidisciplinary AmLaw 200 and NLJ 500 law firm with more than 300 attorneys and advisors across 20 U.S. offices.
Clarence is a leader, innovator, mentor, and litigator – these interchangeable roles have defined his 24-year legal career, including leading one of the nation’s largest law firms in 2023 as the Chair of the Executive Committee. Clarence was the first African American to be elected to the Firm’s leadership role. He has enjoyed a successful litigation practice with a focus on financial services and products liability.
He is the former co-chair of the ABA Banking and Lender Liability Litigation Subcommittee. As DEI Chair, Clarence has led the charge for the firm to achieve Mansfield Certification, MCCA Silver Accreditation, Outstanding Diversity Champion, and helped implement several pipeline, advancement, and mentorship programs for current attorneys and law students. Clarence earned his J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and received his B.A. from Arkansas State University.
