Chris Porter is Co-Managing Partner of Quinn Emanuel’s Houston office. A natural in the courtroom, Chris is an experienced trial lawyer who commands the respect of judges and juries alike.
Chris represents plaintiffs and defendants in courtrooms across the country. Whether his clients are looking to obtain a quick settlement, or to see their matter through trial, he is prepared every step of the way.
A distinctly business-oriented trial lawyer, Chris studied business and finance at The University of Texas at El Paso, where he was also a bowl game MVP. He later graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Law School and subsequently completed a federal judicial clerkship.
Chris’s accomplishments have earned him national recognition. Most recently, Lawdragon named him one of the Top 500 Lawyers in America for 2024, and one of the 500 Leading Energy Lawyers (2024).
Chris is ranked in Chambers USA for General Commercial Litigation (2022-2023), has been repeatedly recognized as a Texas “Super Lawyer” and “Texas Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers (2020-2023), and in 2023 The American Lawyer awarded him Litigator of the Week.
