Christopher Howard is President of Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania.
Howard has prior experience in other leadership positions in higher education as well as experience in the military and private sectors. Before Robert Morris University, Howard was the President of Hampden-Sydney College for six years.
Previously, Howard was Vice President for Leadership and Strategic Initiatives at the University of Oklahoma, where he also was Director of the Honors College Leadership Center and a President’s Associates Presidential Professor.
Howard’s former successful career in the corporate world included working at General Electric and Bristol-Myers Squibb. At both companies, Howard’s responsibilities included sales, marketing, international project management, strategic planning, internal consulting and business development.
Howard holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a PhD in Politics from University of Oxford.
