Chris Carr is Executive Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer for Starbucks. In this role, he is responsible for enhancing the enterprise-wide functional strategic sourcing supplier relationship capability, including the global sourcing processes, sourcing talent management program and building a uniform approach toward suppliers across all categories of spend of $7.5 billion. He is also accountable for shaping Starbucks’ global supplier base into an integrated eco-system that is accretive to company values and generates customer-insight driven innovation.

 

Carr previously served as Executive Vice President for licensed stores in the U.S. and Americas, where he was responsible for the strategic planning, annual operations, market planning and profitability for the region’s 6,200 licensed stores, which generated annual system-wide sales of more than $3 billion.

 

Carr serves on the Board of Recreational Equipment Inc. and as a Trustee of the Board at Howard University. He is an active member of the University of San Diego Emerging Leaders Council and the National Black MBA Association.

 

Carr holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of San Diego, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology.
