Cheryl Mills is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the BlackIvy Group, an investment company that grows and builds businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Previously, she served as Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Counselor to the U.S. Department of State from 2009 to 2013. Mills was with New York University from 2002 to 2009, where she served as Senior Vice President for Administration and Operations and as General Counsel. She also served as Secretary of the University’s Board of Trustees.
From 1999 to 2001, Mills was Senior Vice President for Corporate Policy and Public Programming at Oxygen Media.
Prior to joining Oxygen Media, Mills served as Deputy Counsel to President Clinton and as the White House Associate Counsel. She began her career as an Associate at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Hogan & Hartson.
