Charles D. Young is President and Chief Operating Officer of Invitation Homes, the nation’s leading single-family home leasing company. He has served in various executive positions with the company and its predecessor since 2012.

Previously, Young was Executive Vice President at Mesa Development and worked for Goldman Sachs in their Real Estate Principal Investment Area as well as Goldman’s Investment Banking Division.

Young also created and managed two entrepreneurial ventures: The Kaleidoscope Group, L.L.C., a strategic diversity and management consulting fi rm, and K.G. Holdings, LLC, a real estate holding and management firm. Before starting his career in real estate and investment banking, Young spent several years as a professional football player in the National Football League and the World Football league.

Young currently serves as an independent board member of Floor & Decor, and is a member of the Board of Trustees at Stanford University where serves on the Real Estate Committee and is the chair of the university’s Black Community Council.

Young has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stanford University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
