Chanler Langham is the first Black Partner in premier litigation boutique, Susman Godfrey’s, 40-year history. Langham tries complex commercial matters for plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts throughout the country involving antitrust, IP, toxic torts, executive compensation, energy, products liability, and breach of contract. Langham has won jury trials, bench trials, and injunctions for his clients. He has won appeals in the 2nd Circuit, 5th Circuit, and Texas Court of Appeals. He also has secured several multimillion-dollar settlements.
Langham leads the Houston Bar Association’s (HBA) Board of Directors and is Vice Chair of the Trial Practice Committee for the ABA’s Antitrust section. He previously served as Co-Chair of the HBA’s Communities in Schools Committee. Langham was previously a Board Member for Writers in Schools, an organization that engages children in reading and creative writing. Langham also mentors students at the University of Houston Law Center and University of Texas Law School.
Langham earned his J.D. from Columbia Law as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University Honors Program, where he received a B.A. in International Affairs and Japanese Language and Literature.
