Cedric T. Coco is Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer at Brookdale Senior Living Inc., the leading operator of senior living communities throughout the U.S. with more than 1,000 communities employing 78,000 associates in 46 states. In this role, Coco oversees all human resources strategies, policies, and operations that enable Brookdale to attract, develop, engage, and retain a workforce that enriches the lives of those Brookdale serves.
Prior to joining Brookdale, Coco had served in various human resources roles for Lowe’s Companies Inc. since 2008, culminating as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. In that role, he led the human resources generalists for Lowe’s stores, distribution centers and customer support centers, in addition to leading talent acquisition, employee relations, diversity and succession planning.
Before Lowe’s, Cedric gained nearly two decades of experience in human resources, learning and development and organization performance at Microsoft Corporation, KLA-Tencor Corporation and General Electric Company, where he held numerous leadership roles in engineering, business development, sales, general management and organizational learning.
Coco holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana and an Master’s in Business Administration from San Jose State University.
