Carlton Weatherby is the Chief Strategy Officer at Inspire Medical Systems, Inc. (NYSE:INSP).
In this role Carlton is responsible for the company’s global corporate strategy, corporate development, and long-range planning activities.
Prior to joining Inspire, Carlton worked at Medtronic, PLC (NSYE:MDT) for over a decade in a variety of leadership roles. Most recently he served as the Vice President & General Manager for the global Spine & Biologics business. In this role, he held full P&L responsibility leading teams across functions and geographies to drive alignment and execution of the business strategy for the $3B franchise.
Carlton is a proven people leader and accomplished healthcare executive with a diverse set of experiences and competencies spanning P&L ownership, M&A execution and integration, strategic planning, business development, and commercial operations.
Carlton has effectively led in both high-growth and turn-around situations within large and small healthcare companies.
Carlton holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Stanford University, where he was a team captain and Pac-10 All-Academic Selection on the men’s basketball team.
