Carlos M. Brown is President–Dominion Energy Services and Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary of Dominion Energy.
In this role, Brown leads corporate governance, legal, environmental, information technology, physical and cyber security, facilities, supply chain and sustainability.
Brown attended the University of Virginia and earned both his Bachelor’s and Law degree there, achieving recognition as an Echols, Achievement, Underwood, and Hardy Cross Dillard Scholar. During his time at the university, he also served as the president of the student body and later as president of the Black Law Students Association in law school.
Leading in the community, Brown serves as vice rector on the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia, a trustee of the UVA Law School Foundation, secretary of the board of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and chair-elect of the Virginia Museum of History and Culture.
Brown has been recognized as a Virginia Lawyers Weekly—Leader in the Law, was elected a Fellow to the Virginia Law Foundation, a member of the GC Power List and as one of the most influential African American Attorneys in America by Savoy Magazine in 2018.
