Buky Famosa is Senior Vice President, Global Head of People and Culture at Gap.
In this role, Famosa is responsible for setting the people and culture agenda for the brand’s employees who serve customers across more than 850 Gap locations and on the brands e-commerce and digital platforms.
Famosa has more than 20 years of diversified global experience in media entertainment, retail, merchandising, tech, consumer products, and financial services industries and has demonstrated leadership in partnering with executive teams on financial and talent growth strategies to increase employee engagement, performance and workforce alignment.
Prior to joining Gap, Famosa was a senior executive leading Human Resources organizations at The Walt Disney Company and Experian.
A proven strategist, relationship builder, and team leader, throughout her career, she has been recognized for innovation, talent development, and driving cultural excellence, resulting in improved quality, retention, and shareholder value.
Famosa holds a BSC (Hons), Pharmacology from the University of Portsmouth, a Master’s degree in Human Resources from London South Bank University and a MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management.
