Bradley T. Sheares was Chief Executive Officer of Reliant Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Sheares has over 25 years of experience in science, business and the pharmaceutical industry.
Sheares is the former President of U.S. Human Health at Merck and Co., Inc., a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry. Sheares led the commercial launch in the U.S. of CRIXIVAN, an HIV protease inhibitor for the treatment of HIV/AIDS.
Additionally, Sheares served as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Spelman College, and as a member of the Abington Friends School Committee, and the College of Science and Mathematics Advisory Council of Montclair State University.
Sheares holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry, summa cum laude, from Fisk University, a PhD in Biochemistry from Purdue University and was a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow and a Lucille P. Markey Scholar at the Center for Cancer Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
